On the 17th of July 2025, the Funmilayo Charity Foundation carried out a successful school visitation program at Idowu Primary School in Bariga, Lagos, as part of our ongoing mission to empower underprivileged children through access to education and essential learning tools. This outreach was filled with love, purpose, and hope for the future.
The day began with our team gathering at the Faculty of Environmental Science before heading to the school premises. Upon arrival, we were warmly received by both teachers and pupils. The excitement in the air reminded us of the impact even the simplest acts of kindness can have on young lives.
During the visit, we distributed school materials such as exercise books and pens to support the pupils in their academic journey. These items, though small, are essential tools that can make a significant difference in the lives of children who may otherwise go without.
Our founder, Mr. Akeem Olanrewaju, delivered a short motivational talk and led an interactive session with the pupils. He spoke about the importance of staying focused in school, believing in themselves, and never giving up on their dreams. The children were engaged, inspired, and filled with questions and enthusiasm.
After the motivational session, the team continued interacting with the pupils and shared the learning materials. It was a heartwarming experience as we witnessed genuine smiles and gratitude from the children. The program ended with a joyful group photo session, capturing the spirit of unity and hope that the event inspired.
